# See what every agent costs while it is still working

Every time you put an agent on a job, check on it, or read its result, you now see what it has spent and how long it has been running.

Budgets are real limits rather than a note. An agent reaching its cap finishes what it is doing and stops taking new work, instead of being killed halfway through something.

Long results go to a file in your project rather than being dumped into the conversation.

## What you can do now

- See spend and runtime on every agent, at the moment you check on it.
- Set a budget for a job and have it respected.
- Have an agent stop cleanly at its limit instead of being cut off mid-task.
- Find long results as a file in your project instead of scrolling a thread.
- Get told when an agent has gone quiet, without having to ask.

## Why it matters

Cost that only appears on an invoice at the end of the month is not something you can manage. By then the decision that caused it is weeks old.

Showing spend at the moment of the decision changes what you decide. So does a cap that holds, because it lets you hand over an open-ended job without watching it.

## Example workflows

- **Budgets:** A research job is given a ceiling and comes back under it, with the spend shown.
- **Agency delivery:** A lead compares what two approaches cost before standardising on one.
